The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after he allegedly asked for nude photos from a girl who he believed was 14.

Jose Alejandro Martinez, 26, was charged with lewd conduct and use of computer to seduce, solicit or lure a child.

From Sept. 30 through Oct. 9, detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit were working to locate online predators.

During the investigation, conversations began between Martinez and an undercover detective posing as a 14-year-old female. The conversation turned sexual and led to Martinez asking for nude pictures from the detective who he believed to be a child, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

On Oct. 9, detectives with the ICAC unit contacted Martinez at his home. He was cooperative with the investigation, Sheriff’s Office officials said.

Based on the evidence, an arrest warrant was obtained for Martinez, and on Tuesday, Martinez was placed in custody and transported to the Osceola County Jail with a $20,000 bond.
