Over the past several weeks, Kissimmee Utility Authority has stressed that the health and well being of its employees, customers and the community remain its top priority, according to a press release.

The utility has committed to taking proactive measures as necessary to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19, while maintaining reliable electric service for its customers.

Out of an abundance of caution, the utility announced that it would temporarily close its customer service center to the public, beginning at the close of business today until further notice. For most customers, this will not affect how they interact with KUA.

Moving forward, all customer business will be handled online and through the utility’s call center.

The call center (407- 933-9800) is open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, for customer needs and to also handle business that may have required a visit.

A drive-up payment drop box remains open at the entrance to our headquarters, located at 1701 W. Carroll St. in Kissimmee.

Remote pay stations at area Amscot stores are available. To find an Amscot location near you, visit https://www.amscot.com/locations/florida/kissimmee.

The utility’s website – www.kua.com – is available 24/7 to handle most customer business needs.

Customers who have special circumstances, which can’t be resolved online or by telephone are still able to make appointments to conduct business in person as needed. Contact the utility’s call center at 407-933-9800 to make an appointment. This allows the utility to limit the number of customers inside its facility at any one time while following the social distancing recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

KUA’s outage response levels remain unchanged and all functions necessary to run the electric system will continue to operate as normal.
