Kissimmee police searching for driver wanted for fatal hit-and-run

The Kissimmee Police Department is searching for a hit-and-run driver wanted for a fatal crash at an area intersection on Sunday.

According to an agency press release, the unknown suspect was driving a Ford Transit Connect Van, when the crash occurred at the intersection of South John Young Parkway and Emmett Street at about 7:33 p.m. The vehicle then fled.

Because it is still an open investigation, police officials did not say whether the victim was a pedestrian or another driver.

The vehicle should have damage to the front portion of the vehicle and will be missing the lower portion of the grill.
