The Kissimmee Gateway Airport announced that Glenn “Huck” Huckeba, air traffic control manager, received the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) Outstanding Civilian Manager of the Year Award 2020.
“In my 27-year career working with other air traffic managers, I can tell Glenn Huck has special qualities allowing him to relate well with others and professionally manage his team of air traffic controllers. I frequently visit with the airport tenants and hear every time how wonderful the air traffic control services are at ISM and what admiration they have for Huck and his operations,” said Kissimmee Gateway Airport Aviation Director, Shaun Germolus.
Every year, the ATCA recognizes individuals worldwide and organizations engaged in developing, operating, maintaining the air traffic control system, and keeping a safe flying environment for everyone. Huckeba will be recognized virtually during this year’s conference to be held in December 2020.
