One man was killed in a multi-car crash on U.S. Highway 192 in Osceola County on Friday.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, four vehicles following each other were traveling westbound on U.S. 192. For an unknown reason, a 59-year-old man, of Merritt Island, driving a pickup truck, who was second in line, failed to slow for the first car, a sedan, and slammed into the back of it. The male sedan driver, who was not identified in the report, was killed. The Merritt Island driver suffered minor injuries.
The crash caused a chain reaction between the four vehicles, however, the other two drivers driving behind the crash were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation with charges pending against the Merritt Island driver.
