Continuing a tradition that has spanned more than 25 years, the annual Community Thanksgiving will be held this year, but it will be a meal delivery rather than a sit-down luncheon as in the past, due to COVID-19.

For St. Cloud Gives Back – Community Thanksgiving, city staff members and OUC staff members are holding employee food drives to collect items for the program, and community donations also are being accepted. Donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the St. Cloud Civic Center on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. The Civic Center is located at 3001 17th Street.

Organizers are working with the Council on Aging, St. Cloud Police, St. Cloud Fire Rescue, and the Community Pantry to identify local families in need. Representatives from the City Council, city staff and volunteers, and OUC staff and volunteers will be delivering the food to recipients.
