A carjacking suspect, who was stopped by deputies in the stolen vehicle, attempted to victimize a second driver before he was arrested on Tuesday.

At approximately 5 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to U.S. Highway 192 near the Brevard County line after receiving a carjacking call.

Moments later, deputies spotted the suspect, Bruce Russell Hobbs, 33, driving eastbound from Brevard County in the stolen vehicle. Deputies deployed stop sticks in front of the stolen vehicle and stopped Hobbs in the middle of U.S. 192 near Arthur J. Gallagher Boulevard.

Hobbs then exited the vehicle and attempted to carjack a second car, however he was quickly apprehended by deputies. In the police video, it shows Hobbs banging on the passenger side window on the second vehicle, before he lays down on the road and puts his arms out to his sides.

Hobbs was charged with carjacking and driving while license suspended with knowledge, and was transported to the Osceola County Jail with no bond.
