In order to help ensure the safety of the community during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the city of St. Cloud has canceled the annual Pinktoberfest celebration this year.

Pinktoberfest was held in October the past two years to raise awareness and funds for the St. Cloud Chapter of Pink Heals, a nonprofit grassroots support group that provides financial and emotional support for St. Cloud families battling terminal illnesses.

One of the signature activities f the event was the Pink Fire Truck pull.

“Although this would have been just our third year hosting Pinktoberfest, it was fast becoming one of the city’s premiere events,” said Parks and Recreation Director Stephanie Holtkamp. “The fact that it raised funds for local residents battling cancer and other terminal diseases made it even more meaningful to all of us. However, due to the continuing effects of COVID-19, we do not believe we can safely stage the event this year. We look forward to bringing it back again in the future.”
