There is still a way that a regular person - not a doctor, not a nurse – can join in and be a super hero. Now more than ever, blood donations are needed.

Here is your opportunity to be a hero. The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) will have the Big Red Bus at the Poinciana Community Center, 397 Marigold Ave., today, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They will also do COVID-19 antibody testing. Register at https://www.oneblood.org/donate-now/donation-centers-list-selecttime.stml?driveID=955558.

The Big Red Bus will be taking necessary precautions to keep everybody safe. Donor precautions will be posted on the bus entrance door. Each potential donor will have their temperature taken before the process and a limited number of donors will be allowed on the bus at one time. Staff will be utilizing masks, gloves and additional sanitizing precautions. Donors will be spaced diagonally in beds while donating.

Save a life, donate blood.

APV Fitness has been approved for the SilverSneakers fitness program. SilverSneakers has been endorsed by many Medicare insurance programs.
