Association of Poinciana Villages will begin summer camp July 13

The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) will begin Summer Camp Monday, July 13, to Friday, Aug. 7. Fit Kidz for Fun Summer Camp will be at the APV Activity Campus, 397 Marigold Ave.

This summer camp is for youth ages 5 to 12. The days are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A day pass for camp is $35, (full day) or $99 per week. “Whole Summer” special price is $359. Registration fee is $30. Breakfast and a snack will be provided.

Each camp week will have a different theme. Weekly themes include – Olympics, It’s a Mystery, Battle of the Video Games, Harry Potter, Our Kidz Have Talent, Superheroes vs. Villains, Survivor and Master Chef Junior. The Fit Kidz for Fun Summer Camp promises fun activities and more!

To register go to www.cortizfitness.com/summercamp or call 407-777-4903. OneBlood will host a blood drive on the campus of Poinciana Medical Center, 325 Cypress Parkway, today, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will be stationed in the visitors’ parking lot near the main entrance.

All donors will receive COVID-19 antibody test, a OneBlood T-shirt and a wellness checkup. This wellness checkup includes blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening.

The Osceola County Housing Assistance Program application re-opening will be on Monday, July 6, and will remain open for three days. This program offers Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention and Rental Assistance. Starting at 8 a.m., applications will be accepted over the course of three days for future rounds of funding. Those meeting qualifying criteria will be entered in a drawing with approximately 500 eligible households eligible in each round. Applications will be given a lottery number which then will be processed until that particular round of funding has been used up. If you have been denied before, you may apply again.
