The city’s new Adult Draft Softball League is here. Register as an individual and get drafted onto a team—no existing team needed. This new recreation league is a great way to meet new people, enjoy some friendly competition, and play organized softball with balanced teams. Players will be drafted onto teams following assessments and are guaranteed a minimum of 10 games (nine regular-season games plus at least one playoff game). Registration is open Oct. 1–Nov. 20, with player assessments Dec. 2, team practices beginning Dec. 9 and games starting Dec. 16. Discover your inner musician with small-group lessons in piano, guitar, and voice at School of Talent. Students will build musical skills, confidence, creativity, and teamwork while learning to perform together as a band. All skill levels are welcome, with a live concert on Dec. 21. Lessons are held weekly at Oak Street Park Community Center on Mondays or Thursdays at 6-7 p.m. for ages 6-10 and 7-8 for ages 11-17.
