A Kissimmee man was killed in a Buenaventure Lakes crash on Friday after hitting a tree.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Nathan Escobar, 20, was driving a 2001 Honda vehicle northbound on Buenaventura Boulevard at about 2:55 p.m. For an unknown reason, he lost control of the car in a curve of the road. He went into the median and crossed the southbound lanes, left the roadway, and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Escobar was not wearing a seat belt, FHP officials said. The crash remains under investigation.
