Osceola County School Board Member Tim Weisheyer has been nominated as President-Elect for the Florida School Boards Association (FSBA), a nonprofit corporation providing a collective voice for the elected school boards in Florida.

As president-elect, Weisheyer would work at the local, state and national level to champion for increased student achievement through the development of effective school board leadership and advocacy for public education.  If elected, he would serve as FSBA president-Eeect for 2018-19 and then FSBA president for 2019-20.

“I would be honored to provide the visionary leadership needed as President-Elect to enhance the organization’s service to its members and to strengthen its influential voice on educational issues, which will positively affect Osceola County and Florida,” said Weisheyer.  “To the position, I would bring my experience as a principled decision-maker, a seasoned School Board member, a successful business owner, and a committed community leader with the skills and foresight to know what and how things need to be done in order to improve educational success at all levels.”

The official vote and Installation of the organization’s officers will be at the FSBA Annual Summer Conference in June at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.
