Victim dies in Poinciana shooting

The Osceola Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who shot and killed a man in Poinciana on Saturday.

Just after 11 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of South Flag Court in Poinciana in response to a shooting. Once deputies arrived, they found an adult male in front of the South Flag Court home unconscious with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Yassine El-Hamzaoui, 23, of Poinciana. He was transported to a hospital and was later pronounced deceased.

This is an active investigation but appears to be an isolated incident. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information concerning this incident to  contact the agency at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at 1 (800) 423-8477, where information leading to an arrest may be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
