Disney Springs is one of my favorite places to visit. There’s just so much to do – from dining and shopping, to music and other live entertainment. The family-friendly atmosphere always makes for a fun night out.

Here are five things to do at Disney Springs, this weekend.

People watch. There’s a lot to see at Disney Springs. And, as a local, it’s fun to people watch everyone who is here visiting. Grab a coffee from the Starbucks near World of Disney, or a treat from Erin McKenna’s bakery, and find a spot to enjoy the views.

Catch a movie. Disney’s AMC theater opens as early as 10:30 a.m., with special matinee prices. The theater plays a selection of films, suitable for varying ages. Movies and showtimes can be found online. Not looking for a family outing? Make it a date night, enjoy a drink at the full service bar in the theater’s lobby.

Pin trade. Pin trading at Disney Springs always makes for a fun (And free!) time. Bring your Disney pins and trade them at Disney’s Pin Traders. Don’t have any pins to trade? You can also buy pins there. Single pins, pin packs and mystery pin packs are available.

Splash around. We might be halfway through fall, but the afternoon temperatures are still at a high. Disney Springs offers a splash pad of interactive fountains on the Marketplace side. It’s the perfect place to stop and cool off.

Take a boat ride. Water transportation is available from Disney Springs to some of Disney’s resort hotels. You can take a free boat ride to one of the resorts — like Disney’s Old Key West Resort — and back to Disney Springs. Pick up some pretzel bites and a slushy from Wetzel’s Pretzels, and catch a ride.
