Pretty Little Liars is a drama/thriller on the ABC Network, aimed primarily at teen girls. It is based on the popular book series of the same title, written by Sara Shepard.

It premiered on the network on June 8, 2010, and has been renewed ever since. The series success prompted the book series to be extended as well beyond the initial eight novels.

Set in Rosewood, Pa., it follows the lives of four girls whose clique falls apart after the alleged murder of their leader. One year later, the estranged friends are reunited as they begin receiving messages from a mysterious villain named “A”, who threatens them for the mistakes they have made before and after Alison was alive.

Trojan Bellisario plays Spencer Hastings on the show.
