We might be closing out 2018 soon, but there’s still a lot happening at Leu Gardens before the year is over.
Ribbit the Exhibit
As of Nov. 1, the frogs are back. A.J. Cobb’s Ribbit the Exhibit II is on display now through January 2019. The 18-piece outdoor exhibit is spread throughout the 50-acre gardens, featuring 26 whimsical copper frog sculptures. Each sculpture is made from flat sheets of copper that are cut, hammered and folded in three-dimensional images.
Throughout the time of the exhibit, Leu Gardens is offering special classes, programs and workshops about frogs, as well as a children’s scavenger hunt.
Movies in the Gardens
There’s still time to catch a flick on the lawn. Movies in the Gardens will end its season on Friday, Dec. 7, with the movie “Christmas Vacation.” The movie will begin at 7:30 p.m. The gardens will open early, at 6 p.m.
Moviegoers are welcome to bring dinner picnics (including alcohol), plus seating (chairs and/or blankets). Grilled items, popcorn and drinks are available for purchase.
Admission to Movies in the Gardens is $6 for adults and $3 for children (ages 4 to 17 years old).
Leu Gardens is located at 1920 N. Forest Ave., Orlando. For more information, call 407-246-2620 or visit LeuGardens.org.
