The events happened April 27-28, just before the local restaurant’s grand opening on Tuesday, April 30.
On Saturday, April 27, Metro Diner raised $3,550 for Give Kids the World — a nonprofit resort in Kissimmee that provides week-long, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families.
On Sunday, April 28, $3,356 was raised for the American Cancer Society — an organization with a mission to save and celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
