New details have emerged about the newest water park coming to Central Florida.
Island H2O Live! — located at Kissimmee’s own Margaritaville Resort Orlando — is keeping its technology theme, as it has named its slides and attractions to reflect social media elements.
“We themed the park with fun social media terms, as there are so many social engagement points throughout Island H2O Live!,” General Manager Jim Kunau told the News-Gazette. “Several slides will have cameras that capture reactions as guests careen down. Those moments will be captured on an app where they can then choose to share with friends. The same app will allow them to select music and lighting effects to personalize their slide experiences.
“There also will be multiple photo and video booths across the park to add to the fun and sharing experience.”
So the names, you ask?
Riders of the family tube ride HASHTAG HEIGHTS will soar to new heights, while riders of FOLLOW ME FALLS will plummet down this daring slide. Family and friends can challenge one another to a race down REPLY RACERS.
The water park kept the name theme through the rest of the park, too, with the PRIVATE DOMAIN pool and TAG SHACK bar.
“At Island H2O Live!, guests will have the opportunity to feel both creative and connected,” Kunau said.
While an opening date for Margaritaville Resort Orlando’s Island H2O Live! has not been set, the water park is expected to open soon.
