With Christmas and its full holiday season halfway here, the Celebration Foundation is getting ready for its 20th annual Holiday Home Tour and Winter Wonderland.

The tradition was created by Celebration’s Women’s Club in 1997, just a few years after the town opened its doors to its very first residents. The home tour has become bigger with every year, and was handed to the Celebration Foundation in 2016.

“The Holiday Home Tour is one our community’s traditions,” said Celebration Foundation Executive Director Gloria Niec. “Our neighbors and friends, from all over the state, even the country, enjoy the tour and make it part of their holiday tradition.”

The Holiday Home Tour is a self-guided tour, that takes residents and guests on a winding tour through Celebration’s most fabulously decorated homes. The tour generally takes about two hours, with a stop at each house on the map. Maps are available to guests on the days of the tour, and can be redeemed at specified locations with a purchased ticket.

The Winter Wonderland, in part of the Holiday Home Tour, welcomes those touring to enjoy a display of decorated trees and tablescapes. Decorations may be bid on and purchased throughout the weekend. The Winter Wonderland takes place at Celebration Town Hall (851 Celebration Ave.).

“The Winter Wonderland started three years ago and it has become one of the favorite stops on the tour,” said Dori Moyer, Winter Wonderland Chair. “If you are looking for inspiration, check out our decorated trees and tables.”

The 20th annual Holiday Home Tour will run Saturday, Dec. 1, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance or on the days of the tour. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.CelebrationFoundation.org or at the Celebration Foundation’s office, located at 610 Sycamore Street Suite 110 in Celebration.

“The excitement is building for this year’s Holiday Home Tour… and it is going to be the best yet,” said Debi Jackson, Holiday Home Tour chair.
