Gatorland is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a very special event. Gatorpalooza Fun Fest will be Saturday, May 18.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating our 70th anniversary with the public in a big way with our very own Gatorpalooza,” said Mark McHugh, president and CEO of Gatorland.  “And we’re only getting started. We have more fun, more announcements and more new park features coming the rest of this year. So you won’t want to miss our ongoing anniversary celebration in 2019.”

As the first-ever Gatorpalooza, the event will kick off a year-long celebration with live music, artisans, vendors, family fun, games, giveaways, zip line specials and, of course — alligators.

Families of all ages are welcome to attend, as there will be fun for everyone. A portion of the proceeds from Gatorpalooza will benefit the Boy Scouts of Central Florida.

In addition to the fun, Gatorland will be offering a 20 percent discount to guests interested in purchasing an annual pass. This pass includes unlimited entry to the 100-acre nature theme park for one year, which on a greater scale includes sights of the thousands of alligators and crocodiles that call Gatorland home, a free-flight aviary, nature walks, a petting zoo, educational wildlife programs, a train, shows and more.

“I’m excited to celebrate this milestone, because who can say they work for company that has been around for 70 years and is still going strong,” said Gatorland’s own Brandon Fisher. “Gatorland is an awesome place to visit and an even better company to work for.”

“I grew up at Gatorland,” Fisher continued. “From an 18-year-old young man to a 33-year-old dad of two. A lot has happened over my span at Gatorland. And no matter the other folks at Gatorland have always been there for support. It is family.”

Gatorpalooza Fun Fest will be from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission to the special event is included in general park admission or with an annual pass.
