The Bunny Brunch — Easter dining options at Universal Orlando Resort

Still looking for some place special for Easter dinner/brunch?

Universal Orlando has four places cooking up something special for a holiday dinner this year.

Trattoria del Porto

Trattoria del Porto at Loews Portafino Bay Hotel is offering Easter Ciao, a special Easter Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 7 a.m.

This is a large menu offering with lots of starters: crab meat salad, spring cobb salad, asparagus with sun-dried tomato and more; Risotto Bar: Pasta Station where you create your own pasta with a fresh selection of vegetables, shrimp or chicken and choice of sauce.

Seafood enthusiasts will find the Raw Bar with chilled jumbo shrimp skewers, snow crab claws, smoked chilled scallops, fresh oysters; Selection of Domestic and Imported Cheeses and antipasto; From the Skillet with clam chowder; fettucini with mussels, shrimp and tomato fondue; seared ocean bass; braised short rib with wild mushroom; East Farmer Station featuring stir-fried vegetables with choice of chicken, shrimp, beef or tofu.

The Carving Station offers roasted black pepper strip loin; roasted mushroom and herb crusted pork loin; hot smoked spice rubbed salmon; Spring Celebration with cheesy polenta cake, seared crispy chicken and more; Salad Market Green Station, a selection of fresh salads.

Finally, it is time for desserts with many options to choose from including strawberry cheesecake and Key Lime graham cracker tart to white chocolate passion mousse. There are more dessert options at the chocolate fondue station.

The restaurant also offers family-friendly entertainment with Universal Orlando character appearances, a live musician, face painter, balloon artist and children’s activities table. Adults, $65; chidren ages 3-9, $25; Call 407-503-DINE.

The Kitchen

The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel is offering Easter Feast Rocks from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., an Easter Sunday buffet that includes a visit from the Easter Bunny, a “kids only” cookie decorating station and more.

The bountiful buffet includes a large assortment of appetizers (fennel cured salmon, min bagels with garnishes; roasted red pepper hummus; imported and domestic cheeses and more); salads (Hard Rock Salad Bar); bow tie pasta and shrimp salad; agave and mint seasonal fruit salad.

The carved items include garlic crusted prime rib roast; roasted chipotle honey lime rubbed leg of lamb; entrees including garlic salmon and ancho brined rotisserie chicken; vegetables and potatoes; skillet sides including cheesy grits, buttermilk, chocolate or blueberry pancakes, Belgian waffles, French toast, buttermilk biscuits, bacon, omelet and eggs benedict;

The holiday outing also features many kid-friendly items.

There also is a large selection of oven fresh pastries like assorted muffins, nut breads, croissants and doughnuts.

Save room for dessert because there is a large assortment including vanilla bean crème brulee; chocolate covered strawberries, mini Key Lime pies; assorted Easter cooies, bittersweet chocolate mousse, white chocolate carrot cake and more.

The Islands
ining Room

The Islands Dining Room at Loews Royal Pacific Resort is serving the Eggs-Otic Easter Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring visits from Universal Orlando Characters, a face painter and balloon artist.

The brunch menu includes From the Garden, mixed organic baby greens with many toppings, dressings; green bean salad with avocado green goddess dressing and many more garden options.

Out of the Ocean, has many seafood offerings including hot and cold smoked salmon; mahi-mahi, scallops, shrimp; a raw bar; ahi tarter martini.

The Asian Charcuterie Station features apple ginger stuffed pork loin, chicken terrine with apricot and walnuts; and chili garlic shrimp terrine.

Not too many restaurants offer sushi at an Easter Brunch, but the Sushi Station awaits with assorted sushi, sauces, spring rolls; Into the Fire, featuring shrimp, marinated beef, ginger spiced chicken, Jasmine rice, noodles and more; the Omelet and Waffle Station; Carvers and Main Selection station with soup, rosemary garlic roasted leg of lamb, smoked ham, grilled salmon, chicken breast stuffed with Portobello mushrooms and more. And for dessert, an array of freshly baked breads, pastries cakes, pies and tortes.

Amatista Cookhouse

Finally, the Easter Brunch at Amatista Cookhouse at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is from 1 to 5 p.m. and it also includes visits from Universal Orlando characters, a face painter and balloon artist.

The menu includes a Salads and Cheese station with many salad options including Cape Canaveral Shrimp and Orzo salad and watermelon and feta cheese salad.

Get a bit more exotic with Charcuterie from the Islands with Southwest Shrimp Cocktail terrine and more.

The Raw Bar and Smoked Fish features an iced raw bar and hickory smoked seafood; Ceviche Station with snapper, shrimp and sea bass; Churrasco Station with char grilled beef.

The Omelet and Waffle Station has a large assortment of freshly-made omelets and waffles, and the Carving Station with Sides includes Roasted leg of lamb; Atlantic grilled swordfish, smoked ham and more and a large assortment of pastries.
