At approximately 8:31 p.m., the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit was in the area of Sanibel Drive in Kissimmee, when deputies observed an unknown individual point a laser light at them.
“Deputies were able to locate the source of the laser, which was coming from 658 Captiva Circle,” Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Twis Lizasuain said.

“Laser beams may cause eye damage or distraction,” Lizasuain said.
The charge of misuse of a laser-pointing device is a third degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison or a $5,000 fine.
