Legendary Florida Gators and South Carolina Gamecocks football Coach Steve Spurrier, Florida Sports Hall of Fame Member Class of 1970, has stepped forward to become the first Honorary Chairman of the new Florida Sports Hall of Fame “Patrons”.

This is a partnership program that offers to a statewide community of engaged fans and enthusiasts the satisfaction of supporting sports at all levels from local youth programs to professional athletes.

“Patrons” enjoy access to great benefits and discounts, logo merchandise, exclusive digital content, special events, exclusive offers and much more! Learn more about the Florida Sports Hall of Fame Patrons at http://flasportshof.org/friend-of-the-hal.

As its mission, the Florida Sports Hall of Fame recognizes and honors our state’s greatest sports figures and leverages this collective celebrity to benefit sports related causes.

Through a tax deductible donation, participation in the Florida Sports Hall of Fame “Patrons” will elevate sports in the state of Florida in three ways: offering historical perspectives, providing educational opportunities, and promoting fitness and wellness.

According to Honorary Chairman Spurrier, “We live in age that focus is on our everyday participation in sports, but sometimes we lose sight of the rich heritage and lessons that can be learned from some of the all-time greats. Here’s your chance to become part of Florida sports history and join my fellow Members of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame to support this great cause!”

To join the Florida Sports Hall of Fame Patrons, visit the Florida Sports Hall of Fame at www.flasportshof.org and click on “Become a Patron”. Through your support in the form of a tax deductible “Annual Donation”, there are four ways to join the Florida Sports Hall of Fame Patrons: Student Partner, Individual Partner, Corporate Partner, and MVP Partner.

The Florida Sports Hall of Fame recognizes and honors Florida’s greatest sports figures and events, and leverages this collective celebrity to promote fitness awareness, education and sports activities among the state’s youth and adults. Equally important is the promotion of the qualities of discipline and honor among sports participants.

Among the Florida Hall’s 2018 inductees were five-time Olympic medalist sprinter Justin Gatlin, broadcasting voice of the Florida Gators Mick Hubert, boxer Roy Jones, Jr., U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open Champion golfer Jerry Pate, a nine-time Major League Baseball All-Star Gary Sheffield, former Miss Basketball and state champion Michelle Snow and former Philadelphia Eagle and Pro Football Hall of Famer Pete Pihos of Orlando.
