Congratulations to Mr. Mark Lundgren for locking in the Angler of The Year position at the recent Toho Marine Elites One Man Series Tournament on Lake Kissimmee.

The top 30 anglers in points are qualified to fish the Toho Marine Elites One Man Series Championship Nov. 18-19 on Lake Okeechobee at C. Scott Driver Park. Over $5000 in cash prizes is up for grabs thanks to sponsors like Enigma Fishing, Ardent, T-H Marine Supplies and Mercury Marine.

Good luck Mark and to all those who have qualified!

Wednesday Night Tournament results for Oct. 19: Winners were Joe Moore and Carrot with their limit total of 11.86 pounds. The big fish of the night was 4.5 pounds. Eight boats participated. The season is winding down and the Wednesday Night Classic is being held today. May the best team win!

I am going to miss hearing from Charlie every week to get the results.

Space Coast Report from The Birthday Boy, Captain Brian Pounds: His new bride bought him a guitar for his birthday. I hope he doesn’t give up his guide service to become a musician!

The Southern Mosquito Lagoon is great for redfish and tarpon around bait pods and flowing culverts. Jerk baits and cut baits are working well. Also for you trout fisherman the Indian River is hot south of Parrish Park to the 405 causeway on the east side. First light use topwater plugs and midmorning use jerk baits or Gulp Shrimp on jig heads.

West Lake Toho Report: Water is at 53.87 feet above sea level and the gates at the lock are not open. The water temperature is in the mid-80s and the fish are biting!

Don’t forget next Saturday, Nov. 5, at Lakefront Park, The City of Kissimmee and Osceola County will host Great Outdoors Day.

The Angling For Education teen fishing tournament will be held, along with a Kids Fishing Derby hosted by the Florida Wildlife Commission.

Learn how to canoe with he help of The Paddling Center of Shingle Creek and enjoy casting demonstrations, other exciting exhibits and more!
