The Toho Marine Wednesday Night Shootout held April 12 was won by Kip Grunloh and Dumas Weircioch. They had an impressive 23.21 pounds, five-fish sack.

Kip is no stranger to the waters of Lake Toho. He spends just ab out every day working as a guide for BassOnline.

He recently was in a mini competition in February at the Daytona International Speedway’s Lake Lloyd.

He won that tournament for the third year in a row. This year he had the honor to fish with Greg Biffle. The tournament was a three-fish limit and he had a combined weight of 13 pounds, 12 ounces.

I need to get in on that tournament next year!

Second place at the Wednesday Shootout went to Brandon and Taylor with a five-fish limit of 18.01 pounds.

Len and Carrot were third with five fish and 14.65 pounds, plus the big fish at 6.10 pounds. Twenty boats participated.

… Registration is open for the 6th Annual Toho Big Fish Blast at the Kissimmee lakefront on May 13.

Launch is 6 a.m. with weigh-ins every hour starting at 10 a.m.

This is a big fish every hour style tournament with a $2,500 grand prize for the big fish of the day.

Like last year, there is a children’s and a women’s division.

Entry fees are $100 per person and there is a limit of two people per boat.
