Help Our Heroes Tourney Saturday

Mark Lundgren and Santos Solis Jr. 2016 Help Our Heroes Winners!

The approaching storms must have scared off all the anglers at the May 24 Wednesday night tournament. Only four teams showed up for what turned out to be a winner take all match. The team of Mark Lundgren and Charlie Harrelson were the overall winners. Joe Clements and Dustin came in second, and Terry Seagraves and his partner took third.

The American Bass Anglers (ABA) Ram Truck Open Series out of Lake Toho on May 20 brought some impressive sacks to the scales.

… Captain Brian Pounds tells me that not much has changed from his last Mosquito Lagoon report. The middle and south sections are still holding huge schools or redfish in a foot or less of water around massive finger mullet pods. Hugh trout are also in the area.

This is also a salt water license free weekend. No license is required to fish, so if you have never tried your luck, take advantage of the opportunity.

… Camp Mac on the Kissimmee Chain June 10 is the next stop for the Toho Marine Elite One Man Tour. Catch the weigh-in if you are in the area. You must be a registered member to fish but you can join anytime. For more information visit and click tournaments.

Today at the Joe Overstreet Ramp on Lake Kissimmee is the Help Our Heroes tournament Come check out the live weigh-in at 3 p.m.

Have a great first weekend of June and Tight Lines.
