An Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputy had to fire a shot toward robbery suspects in a car on Wednesday after the driver accelerated the vehicle toward the law enforcement officer.

At approximately 8:55 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to 3227 S. John Young Parkway (Bealls Outlet) Kissimmee, in reference to a robbery by sudden snatching.
Osceola deputies and detectives investigated and were able to get a description of the suspects and their vehicle, a silver Toyota. Deputies located the suspect vehicle at 3200 S. John Young Parkway (Speedway Gas Station). The suspects attempted to flee the area and while doing so, crashed into a deputy’s vehicle. The crash caused the suspect vehicle to stop and deputies exited their vehicles and moved in to detain the suspects. As deputies approached, the suspect driver began to accelerate the vehicle toward one deputy, putting the law enforcement’s officer’s life in danger, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. The deputy fired the weapon once toward the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle stopped, and all suspects inside the vehicle were detained. No one was injured during this incident.

The suspects were identified as Dominique Chavoreya Knight-Lewis, 24, Isaiah Jame Lee, 16, and Oscar Suarez, 17, who are all residents of Pembroke Pines. The vehicle occupied by the suspects was confirmed to be a stolen car out of Miami. The suspects have been charged with robbery by sudden snatching and grand theft auto. Additional charges are pending as this is an active investigation.
