Disney and Universal got all of the attention with the two resort giants recent opening of Pandora (Disney) and the Volcano Bay water park (Universal), but SeaWorld Orlando also has a lot going on this summer.

The Orlando theme recently opened Kraken Unleashed, an all-new virtual reality coster and it also hosts “Pop,” a dazzling indoor show that features some amazing magic with bubbles.

Now, when the sun goes down, SeaWorld will come to life with the all-new Electric Ocean celebration.

The evening event transforms the park into an  undersea world that glows and entertains.

Get out your dancing shoes for Club Sea Glow, the new dance party, featuring world-class DJs and 35 live performers. The dance club also features specialty acts, puppeteers and entertainers. It is an outdoor night club for all ages.

There is more excitement in the sky above, as the evening concludes with Ignite, the new nightly fireworks show, that  includes synchronized water effects that shoot up to 100 feet in the air choreographed to a musical score. The show features pyrotechnic effects, flames, and intricate laser projections high above the audience. The finale orchestrates all show elements in a big climax.

Elsewhere in the park, there is more summer night entertainment with the return of fan favorite, “Sea Lions Tonite.” The parody skit takes a look at SeaWorld through the eyes of sea lion superstars, Clyde and Seamore. The show also features one of the park’s favorite acts, the SeaWorld Mime.

Also part of the evening is “Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up The Night.”

Electric Ocean features extended park hours,  which means guests will have more time to ride SeaWorld’s three iconic coasters under the stars. Riders can soar into the night sky on Mako, Orlando’s tallest, fastest and longest coaster, Manta, the unique flying coaster, and Kraken Unleashed, the all-new virtual reality coaster experience.

Electric Ocean also means new things to eat with a menu created exclusively for the event, including craft beers, salted caramel popcorn ice cream, tostadas and Belgian waffles.

Guests can try just about everything on the menu with the Snack Pack Sampler Lanyard, which allows guests to select 5 snacks or drinks including new items and fan-favorites such as the iconic Shamu ice cream bar. The lanyard is available for $25 and can be purchased online or at the park.

Other SeaWorld options during the event: Buy interactive RFID accessories that glow, blink and react with the beat.

Guests can also  purchase the Electric Ocean Reserved Seating Package which offers one reserved seat to “Sea Lions Tonite,” “Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up The Night” and “Ignite.” Reserved seating is available starting at $19 online or at the park.

SeaWorld  also has a summer two-park ticket option that costs $59.99 per visit. Guests can choose to visit SeaWorld twice or spend one of their days at Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark.

In addition to the two-park option, SeaWorld Parks & Resorts Orlando offers a wide variety of hotel packages that are perfect for a weekend getaway.

All packages include admission to SeaWorld and Aquatica along with in-park discounts, signature show seating and a third night free at select hotels. Guests can choose from several options including “Eat Free” providing one day of All-Day-Dining at SeaWorld and Aquatica for the whole family and “Kids Free” offering up to two free child’s admissions to SeaWorld and Aquatica.
