Skip and Sean Stowers, father and son duo win a Wednesday Toho Shoot-out.

The Osceola Anglers High School Fishing Club is hosting the Let’s Wash Out Cancer car wash today (Saturday). T-Shirts will be available for purchase and any donation is appreciate. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Breast Cancer Awareness. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Folsom Services located at 25 East 13th Street in St. Cloud. Come out and support our local anglers for a great cause.
All the boat ramps at the Kissimmee Lakefront are now in operation. Hurricane Irma had battered a couple of them, making them inoperable until the city could make repairs
I did not have a column last week so I need to catch up on the Toho Marine Wednesday Night Shootout results. On Sept. 27 the father and son team of Skip and Sean Stowers took home the jackpot..FINALLY! There were only five boats that night but their 13.52 pounds just barely secured them the cash prize. They beat out Pete and Eric by just 7 ounces. Way to go Team Stowers!
On Oct. 4 there were 10 teams that participated. The big winners were Terry Segraves and Paul with a five fish limit and 16.74 pounds. Coming in second was Len Tyre and his partner Carrot with 11.35 pounds. The duo of Jerrod and Paul had the Denali Rod’s Big Fish of the Night with a 5.17 pounder. We haven’t seen any Trophy Catches (8 pounds or larger) coming to the scales in quite some time. But what was brought to the scales by no other than Charlie Harrelson that night was a 1.7 pound Crappie. I guess the guys thought that was worth weighing! Ha ha..
The Wednesday Night Championship will be held Saturday, Oct. 28 from safe light until 3 pm. Save the date and make plans to come down to the Marina and meet these awesome anglers I have been telling you about since the season started back in the spring.
Next Sunday Oct. 22, is the Enigma Rod 2nd Annual Wild Card Open. There is a $2,200 guarantee First Place payout and 2 Enigma Rods. That’s based on 47 boats. $120 per boat. For more information contact Richard Patterson at (407) 394-4474 or visit www.usabassin.com
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Tight Lines friends.
