DOUGTHY – Edward Bell Dougthy, Jr., 75, Passed away August 13, 2015 after a long illness. He was born on Macipongo, Virginia March 1, 1940. His parents were Edward and Elizabeth Doughty. Ed’s father died when he was 2 years old. After the death of his father, he and his mother lived with his grandparents on their farm in Virginia. Ed loved that he grew up on a farm. When Ed was 13, his mother married Scot Agnew and they moved to Hampton Virginia. After graduation from high school, Ed enlisted in the Air Force in September 1958. During Ed’s career in the Air Force he served in the Security Police, Later he cross trained into the missile career field, worked on the AGM28B Hound Dog missile (which was carried on the B-52 bomber). He moved on the Minuteman II missile (which is an ICBM, housed in an underground solo). His time in the service he was stationed in Korea and bases in the U.S. While stationed in Maine, Ed met the love of his life Doreen Nadeau, they were married in December 1961. Ed retired from the Air Force (after 24 years) in April 1963 and moved to Central Florida. Here he worked for Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) on different projects for 21 years and retired in 2004. He was predeceased by his wife Doreen in September 2009. He is survived by his daughter Tammie Keen, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
 His cremains will be laid to rest with his wife Doreen in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Orlando, Florida. Services will be at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home, 511 Emmett St., Kissimmee, Florida on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. 

 

TURNER – Mattie E. Turner, age 88, of Kissimmee, FL passed away on September 3, 2015. She is the loving wife of Neville C. Turner; mother of Anthony Woodring and Ann Turner; Stepmother of Blane Turner and Scott Turner; Grandmother of Tabitha McHargue, Michael Brown, Jesse Brown, Angela Woodring, and Kaleb Woodring; Great Grandmother of Cade, Audrey, Alexander, Madison, Emma, Zoey, and Celeste.
