EDWARDS – John Michael “Mike” Edwards, 65, passed away on March 15, 2015 at Cape Canaveral Hospital. “Mike” died after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Akron, Ohio on June 30, 1949, Mike moved to Kissimmee in 1956. In his youth, he served our country in the U.S. Army, earning a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. After the war, Mike returned to the Central Florida area and spent his career as a quality assurance inspector at Lockheed Martin.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed living by the ocean. He has been a member of the Ocean Woods community in Cape Canaveral for 15 years.
Mike was a member of the Osceola High School class of 1969.
He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and while living in Kissimmee a member of the Kissimmee-St. Cloud Jaycees.
Mike is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Edwards Kirrane (Bill) of Garden City, New York, and two grandchildren Amelia and Liam. He is also survived by his brothers Pete Edwards (Felicia), Kissimmee, and Tony Andrews, Kissimmee, nephews Cory, Brian and Matt Edwards, and a host of long-time friends. He is predeceased by his first wife Debbie Harper, mother of Elizabeth, his wife Melanie Medlin, and his father John Paul Edwards, his mother Loraine Andrews and his stepfather Curtis Andrews.
A memorial service and remembrance reception will be held at the “The Catfish Place” in St. Cloud, (a favorite restaurant of Mike’s) on Thursday, April 9th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
Mike was a proud soldier, parent, and grandparent. He loved his country and family with all of his heart. He is remembered for his courage, honor, and valor. His friendly spirit will always be with us.
FRY – Melissa C. Fry, born February 4, 1973 in Elgin, IL, passed away March 29, 2015 in Kingwood, Texas. Melissa is survived by her husband, Charlie Fry; daughters, Olivia Munger and Rylie Fry; son, Connor Fry; parents, Kathleen and Gary Eby; sisters, Stephanie Albert, Christine Mangos (Chris), and Jennifer Preuss (Tom); mother-in-law, Grace Fry; Sister-in-law, Kim Matheny (Doug) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held April 3, 2015 at Triumph Christian Center in Porter, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to be made to:

Judy Hunley McGrath, aged 70, passed away March 14, 2015 in Auburndale, FL after a lengthy illness. She was born in Miami, Florida May 6, 1944 to Noel Ruston Hunley and Billie Saine Hunley. She graduated from Lakeland Senior High School, and worked in the admissions office at Florida Southern College and then was medical secretary for a psychologist in Tampa, FL. Judy was secretary to WED Design’s project manager during construction of Disney World. When she became administrative assistant to the President of Tupperware, she traveled to numerous countries. She later became a travel guide and convention planner, who made many trips within the United States and abroad. She was a member of the Kissimmee Woman’s Club.
MIDDLETON – Gisele P. Middleton, 92, passed away on March 31, 2015 in Kissimmee, FL. Born in Quebec City in Canada. She moved to Kissimmee from Fort Lauderdale in 2003. She was retired a personnel manager for Bell South Telephone Company and was Roman Catholic. Survivors included: two daughters, Helen M. Chamberland of Charlottesville, VA and Carol L. Chamberland of New Mexico; son, Donald R. Middleton of Kissimmee, FL; two sisters, Jeanne Liles of Tampa, FL and Diane Zukowski of Connecticut; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kissimmee with the Reverend Father Percival DeVera, Officiating. The Middleton Family is being cared for by Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home, 511 Emmett Street, Kissimmee, FL 34741.
ROGGE – Robert Carl Rogge, Jr., died March 26 at Osceola Regional Medical Center. Robert leaves his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Mercer Rogge, son Dana Rogge and his wife Sharon, son William Rogge and his wife Susan and stepson Raymond Studley.
He also leaves six grandchildren; Marc Viola (Lucia), Benjamin Rogge, Sandra Welch (Jeremy), Jessica Bonachea (Luis), Jessie Studley (Harper) and Michael Studley. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Donna Studley. Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery in charge.
SMITH – Robert C. Smith, 87, of Kissimmee passed away on March 29, 2015. Robert was born on Jan. 5, 1928 in Trenton, NJ. Robert was a devoted husband & father. He enjoyed his role as the chairman of the grounds committee for the First Presbyterian Church of Kissimmee and was a dedicated member of the congregation.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen M. Smith, his sons Robert C. Smith Jr. & James A. Smith (Karen). His daughters, Sandra J. Murray (John) & Kelly D. Story. His grandchildren, John, Kimberly (Rak), Alyson, Tracey, Mason, Morgan, Caleb & Landon & great-granddaughter, Rosie.
A funeral service for Robert will take place on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Kissimmee.
