While you are off as well on Monday — or collecting that time-and-a-half or double time holiday pay — here’s a guide to who else will be observing the national holiday.
In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, the Osceola County Courthouse and the Osceola County Administration Offices, including libraries and the Bass Road Recycle Center, will be closed on Monday, May 25.
Government and utility offices will be closed, as well as all Post Office locations, and there will be no mail service.
For residents of unincorporated Osceola County, curbside garbage and recycling collection will continue as normally scheduled on Monday.
In St. Cloud, city offices will also close, and the Tax Collector’s, State Rep. Paula Stark’s, and Toho Water Authority’s offices in St. Cloud City Hall will be closed. The city will collect regularly scheduled Solid Waste routes on Monday, and the Transfer Station will be open 7 a.m. to noon.
The community is invited honor those who sacrificed their lives in service to our country at the 116th Remembrance Ceremony at Mount Peace Cemetery beginning at 10 a.m. The cemetery is located at 775 E. 10th Street in St. Cloud. Another service honoring the Borinqueneers will be held at 4 p.m. and 65th Infantry Veterans Park in Buenaventura Lakes.
Offices and services will resume on Tuesday, May 26.
