December in Osceola County: a time where we can see three seasons, all in the same week.
This is one of those weeks.
A pair of cold fronts are forecast to move through the area over the next five days, changing the weather from the current warm pattern. Highs Monday and Tuesday are expected to be around 80 -- about 7 degrees above normal, and not very holiday-like! -- with a chance of afternoon showers. That chance of rain goes up Wednesday to 50-70 percent as the first front is expected to make its way through.
The front will only drop the temperatures a bit; Thursday and Friday are expected to be sunny with highs near 76 and lows near 56.
Here's the part that's five days out that will come more into focus later in the week: Late in the day Friday, the next front, not as wet but bringing colder, drier air, will pass through, dropping overnight temperatures into the mid to upper 40s. The weekend's highs will only be in the mid-60s.
Keep an eye on the weather to dress right for the conditions! We'll update you on the expected Christmas weather later in the week. Don't bet on a White Christmas.
