Want an anniversary date you’ll never forget?
Thanks to the office of Osceola County Clerk of Court & Comptroller Kelvin Soto, you can combine the two.
For the third year in a row, the county will invite 16 couples to say, “I Do, my Boo” on Halloween at the now-annual HalloWedding Group Wedding “Scare-A-Mony” and reception.
This is the event that inspired other Clerk’s Office themed wedding events, like nuptials in a “Winter Wonderland” and on Valentine’s Day. For those who have not experienced the unique wedding event, those who sign up can marry their “best ghoul” – or boy – in the Historic Osceola County Courthouse, the oldest continually operating courthouse in Florida — joke if you want that the place could be haunted.
Included with the “Scare-A-Mony” is a reception featuring cupcakes, beverages, and themed music that set the perfect atmosphere for the Halloween celebration. Each couple will receive a decorative certificate commemorating their special day, themed photo opportunities, and a printed keepsake photo to cherish the memories forever.
Participants are encouraged to wear family-friendly costumes to add to the mood, and friends and family are encouraged to attend the fun event. It is free to participate, just pay for the statutory marriage license fees apply. Couples can begin registering for the event at the Osceola County Courthouse on Tuesday, Sept. 3 during their marriage license application process. Registration last until Oct. 25, or until the event reaches full capacity. Given the popularity of the event, couples are strongly encouraged to schedule their marriage license appointments and sign up early to secure a spot – and a Halloween anniversary date!
