Three men given extensive jail terms for 3 robberies, 2 in Kissimmee

Three Orlando residents were given extensive prison sentences for committing three armed robberies, two in Kissimmee.

U.S. District Judge Paul G. Byron has sentenced Travis B. Hall, 38, of Orlando to 15 years in federal prison, and Antonio Mobley 43, of Orlando, to 14 years and 11 months in federal prison, for committing armed robberies at convenience stores in the Orlando area and for brandishing firearms during these crimes of violence.

In addition, Derrick M. Davis, 38, of Orlando, was sentenced to 14 years and 7 months’ imprisonment for participating in the robberies.  

According to court records, on March 1, 2018, at 8:50 p.m., Hall and Davis robbed a convenience store at a Sunoco gas station in Kissimmee. Davis planned the robbery and drove Hall to the store, where Hall began filling a large trash bag with cartons of cigarettes. The clerk on duty got into a shoving match with Hall, after which Hall lifted up his shirt to display a firearm in his waistband and then completed the robbery. Davis and Hall sold the stolen cartons of cigarettes to a cigarette vendor in exchange for cash.

On March 2, 2018, at 7:10 p.m., Davis, Hall, and Mobley robbed a convenience store at a Mobil gas station in Ocoee. Davis planned the robbery, drove Mobley and Hall to the store, and provided Mobley with a firearm. After entering the store, Mobley placed a clerk in a headlock and held the firearm to the attendant’s head, while Hall filled a trash bag with cartons of cigarettes. Davis, Hall and Mobley then sold the stolen cartons of cigarettes to a cigarette vendor in exchange for cash.

On March 2, 2018, at 10:08 p.m., Davis, Hall, and Mobley robbed another convenience store at a Marathon gas station in Kissimmee. Davis drove Mobley and Hall to the store and then again provided Mobley with a firearm. After entering the store, Mobley held the clerk at gunpoint while Hall filled two trash bags with cartons of cigarettes. Hall and Mobley then fled with the firearm and cigarettes.

Hall and Mobley pleaded guilty on Oct. 10, 2018. Davis pleaded guilty on Feb. 27, 2019.
