A teenager was injured in Kissimmee Monday morning after a vehicle hit him while he was riding a bicycle, police officials said.
Just before 7 a.m., the Kissimmee Police Department received a 911 call in reference to a vehicle hitting a person on a bicycle in the area of Fortune Road and Grande Boulevard.
After arriving on scene, Kissimmee police officers discovered that a juvenile male, possibly 15 years old, suffered injuries resulting from the collision and was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando. How the crash occurred is currently being investigated, police officials said. The driver of the motor vehicle remained at the scene and no other injuries reported.
The roadway is open.
