Sheriff's Office nabs subdivision package thief

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office nabbed a suspect who was stealing packages in a local subdivision.

Eduardo Flores, 19,was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of petit theft.

On April 29, the Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help on social media to help identify a suspect who had committed several package thefts in the Remington Subdivision.

The thefts were captured on a Ring video doorbell. On Saturday, a tip was reported to the Sheriff’s Office concerning a possible sighting of the suspect, which included a vehicle description and license plate number.

Members of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office East Property Crimes Unit acted on the tip, which to the arrest of Flores.The stolen property was also located and given back to its owners.

“A big kudos to the Remington Subdivision for coming together and helping to keep their community safe,” stated Maj. Jacob Ruiz in a Sheriff’s Office press release.
