Sheriff's Office links males to string of vehicle burglaries after stolen car arrest

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office linked two male suspects to a string of vehicle burglaries after being arrested for stealing a car.

On Thursday at 3 a.m., deputies responded to Lonesome Dove Drive area in Kissimmee, after receiving a report of the burglary and theft of a vehicle.

The victim reported hearing a vehicle in their driveway start and when they looked outside, they observed a male wearing a black mask with skull markings covering his face, and a gray hoodie standing next to a vehicle in the driveway.

 When the suspects, identified as Jessie Dunn, 20, and Matthew Maldonado, 17, stole the vehicle, deputies responding were alerted of its description. Through effective patrol measures, deputies stopped the stolen vehicle and arrested the suspects.

Based on evidence and additional investigation, deputies were able to link theses suspects to four additional burglaries to vehicles, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

“We would like to remind our citizens to lock their vehicles and secure their property and do not leave any valuables inside of their vehicles, “ said Sheriff’s Office Maj. Jacob Ruiz in a press release.
