Sheriff's Office detectives arrest attempted murder suspect

A suspect was who wanted for shooting a man in the Kissimmee area last week was arrested by detectives on Tuesday.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office charged Jarmar Francis with attempted first-degree murder.

On Sept. 28 at about 3:19 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Dolphin Street and North Brack Street in the Kissimmee area after receiving a shooting call. The victim, Bernard Ferguson 37, was located laying on the roadside with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. He was taken to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.

An investigation led to Francis as the shooter. He was located and apprehended on Tuesday in the St. Cloud area by detectives with Sheriff’s Office Intelligence Unit. Once in custody, Francis did not cooperate with the investigation. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail on no bond.
