Relative of two Osceola murder suspects arrested for child pornography

A relative of two Osceola County murder suspects has been charged with possession of child pornography.

On Friday, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Nicholas Rivera, 28, for eight counts of possession of child pornography. According to a Sheriff’s Office report, the evidence linked to the arrest originated from information detectives obtained while investigating the disappearance on Nicole Montalvo. Nicholas also is considered a person of interest in murder case, Sheriff’s Office officials said. Nicholas was located and arrested in Georgia by the United States Marshals Service. He is currently in the process of being extradited back to Osceola County.

“We would like to thank the U.S. Marshals Service and the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia for their assistance and dedication to service in this case,” said Sheriff’s Office Maj. Jacob Ruiz in a press release.

The investigation into Nicole Montalvo’s murder continues. Investigators have released the two primary crime scenes on Hixon and Henry J Avenues in St. Cloud. Anyone with any information on this case should call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at 407-348-2222
