The Realtors Care Committee of the Osceola County Association of Realtors partnered with Guardian Ad Litem Osceola to provide suitcases for foster children in our community. With the help of Realtor members, the committee was able to collect over 40 suitcases.

The Florida Guardian ad Litem Program is a partnership of community advocates and professional staff providing a powerful voice for children. They advocate for the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

“Many of children in the foster system are forced to put their belongings in trash bags when they move from home to home,” stated Committee Chair Sue Vasquez. “We hope that having a suitcase to call their own will bring some light and positivity to their lives.”

President Danny Hernandez added, “We’d like to thank our members for their generous donations to this worthwhile cause. Our community is a focus at our association, and we are always looking for ways to lend a hand.”
