Police news: Motorcyclist killed in St. Cloud crash identified

Troopers have identified a motorcyclist that crashed and was killed in St. Cloud on Monday.

Matthew Jester, 42, of Port St. Lucie, was driving a 1992 Honda motorcycle northbound on Canoe Creek Road at about 7:32 p.m.  

For an unknown reason, he failed to navigate a curve in the roadway, left the road and struck a pole, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

St. Cloud woman killed in fiery crash

A St. Cloud woman was killed on May 19 after her vehicle crashed and caught fire.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Janna Lee Snelling, 30, was driving a 2013 Kia SUV northbound on Narcoossee Road at about 12:50 a.m.

For an unknown reason, Snelling lost control of the SUV and the vehicle left the roadway, struck a power poll and burst into flames, the report stated.

She was pronounced dead on scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
