Poinciana Spring Fest and Easter Egg Hunt will be April 13

The Association of Poinciana Villages’ (APV) Annual Spring Fest and Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Vance Harmon Park Amphitheater, 625 Country Club Drive.

This fun-filled day at the park features a helicopter egg drop at noon. The “hunt” starts after the helicopter’s last egg drop. There will be three hunting fields, each separated by age group.

The Spring Fest includes bounce houses, games and prizes, food trucks, vendors and a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny.

Enjoy this free event and make good memories with the Spring Fest and Easter Egg Hunt.

APV’s next Board of Directors meeting will be on Tuesday, April 9, at 9 a.m., at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave. This meeting is open to all property and homeowners in Poinciana.

It’s no joke. April1 may have been April Fool’s Day, but is was also the day that the MJ Café opened for business.

Located at the Mary Jane Arrington Gym & Aquatic Center, the MJ Café will offer refreshments, hot dogs, chili dogs, candy, chips and coffee.  There is indoor and outdoor seating.

The Mary Jane Arrington Gym & Aquatic Center is located at 625 Country Club Drive.

New Dimensions High School students will be hard at work on Saturday, April 13, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No, it’s not Saturday School. It’s the Poinciana Clean-Up Event.

Working with Keep Polk County Beautiful, the youth of New Dimensions will be cleaning up litter and garbage from the streets. The kids will be doing all the clean-up work. But adult volunteers are still needed to make this day a success. Volunteers are needed to transport the students around the clean-up sites in the community as well as to help serve pizza at a party following the clean-up. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Keith Laytham at k.laytham@att.net.
