Millenia ER, a department of Osceola Regional Medical Center, recently opened its doors to the public
The $10 million, 10,820 square-foot, freestanding emergency department will serve a growing Orange County population and visitors to the popular tourism area, according to a hospital press release.
Employing 50 staff members and five emergency medical physicians, the ER operates as a full-service emergency room providing around-the-clock emergency care for both pediatric and adult patients. All nurses at the facility are certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
The new facility offers comprehensive emergency services, including a dedicated cardiac/respiratory resuscitation room, full hospital lab, 11 private patient care rooms, and diagnostic imaging services such as X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound.
“We thank Orange County, the city of Orlando and the local EMS partners in this community for their support in helping us bring high-quality, convenient emergency services to the area,” said Davide M. Carbone, CEO of Osceola Regional Medical Center. “Millenia ER will fill a critical need in providing acute care to thousands of residents and visitors to the region each year.”
