Osceola deputies arrest man wanted for three armed robberies along U.S. 192

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man wanted for three armed robberies, stabbing a man in one case.

On Saturday, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit, Gang Unit and Tourist Policing Unit arrested Jorge Luis Santiago-Collazo.

 Santiago-Collazo was wanted for his involvement in three separated armed robberies, which occurred along the West U.S. Highway 192 corridor, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

The suspect was targeting victims while they waited at a bus stop or along businesses. During one of the robberies, Santiago-Collazo, who was armed with a knife, stabbed a victim. The victim was treated and released from the hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

Through investigative techniques, Santiago-Collazo was identified and later arrested in the area of Old Vineland Road and U.S. 192. Detectives were able to locate and identify items in Santiago-Collazo’s possession to link him to the reported robberies. He is currently being held at the Osceola County Jail on armed robbery charges and on no bond.
