Osceola County Commissioners Cheryl Grieb and Viviana Janer soundly beat the competition in the primary elections, according to results released by the Osceola County Supervisor of Elections Office.
Grieb took 60 percent of the vote in the district 4 Democratic race, compared to Wilfredo “Will” Fonseca (25.85 percent) and Will Gonzalez Jr. (14.15 percent).
Janer, in the district 2 Democratic race, received 60.38 percent, beating Janette Martinez (34.25 percent) and Rolando S. Banasco (5.37 percent).
In the Kissimmee City Commission races, Jim Fisher narrowly defeated Lisandra Roman 50.38 to 49.62 percent in the seat 4 election
And Felix Ortiz (45.86 percent), bested Horng “Andrew” Jeng (19.59 percent), Reginald Hardee (18.82 percent) and Steven Mullis (15.74 percent). However Ortiz and Jeng will battle again in a runoff election on Nov.6.
Also, Teresa “Terry” Castillo beat Shel Hart 52,81 to 47.19 percent in the School Board member district 1 race.
