Orlando motorcyclist killed in Osceola crash after being hit by Jeep

An Orlando motorcyclist was killed in an Osceola crash on Saturday after a Jeep hit him.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Marly Salas, 28, of Kissimmee, was driving a 2017 Jeep SUV southbound on Shady Lane at about 9:40 p.m., when she attempted to make a left turn into an apartment complex. As she was turning, Salas driving into the path of a 2019 Honda motorcycle being driven by a 28-year-old male from Orlando, the report stated.

The Jeep hit the right side of the motorcycle. The rider was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The victim was not identified in the report, as his family had not yet been notified.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending against Salas.
