KUA earned an Award of Merit in the video category for its video showcasing how the utility assisted the Give Kids The World Village nonprofit resort, which provides critically ill children and their families with weeklong wish vacations at no cost. American Pickers back in area in December The American Pickers, the History Channel hit television series, announced a return to Central Florida in December 2024.

The documentary series explores the fascinating world of antique “picking” on The History Channel. The show follows skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques, highlighting historically significant or rare items, along with unforgettable characters and their collections.

On the show they hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way. The Pickers do NOT pick stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums, or anything open to the public.

If you or someone you know has a unique item, story to tell, and is ready to sell, send your name, phone number, location, and description of the collection with photos to americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 646-493-2184. Check them on Facebook @GotAPick.
