The city of Kissimmee announces temporary road closures in downtown Kissimmee on Thursday, July 4 to accommodate the Monumental 4thof July festivities. The celebration will take place at Kissimmee Lakefront Park from 5 p.m. and finishes at 9:30 p.m. with fireworks.

Road closures will begin at 3 a.m. with all roads re-opening by 11 p.m. the evening of July 4. The first set of temporary road closures include Lakeview Drive, East Monument Avenue and South Beaumont Avenue from Patrick Street to Lakeview Drive, and Ruby Avenue from Bryant Street to Lakeview Drive. The secondary closures start at noon and it include East Dakin Avenue and East Monument Avenue, from Pleasant Street to the roundabout.

  Police officers will be located at road closures to help direct traffic. Drivers are asked to obey all traffic control devices and exercise extra caution while driving through the area.Attendees are encouraged to carpool and park for free at one of the following downtown Kissimmee garages:

  • Intermodal Garage (205 E Dakin Avenue, enter from Neptune Road)

  • Toho Square Garage (92 Pleasant Street, enter from Broadway/Pleasant Street)

  • County Courthouse Garage (521 Bryan Street from West Emmett Street/Rose Avenue)
